Water and Environmental Sanitation Technician

About the role

The Water and Environmental Sanitation Technician will support the integrated response to improve basic services for vulnerable communities in Broom Mayfa District. The role focuses on ensuring effective implementation of water and sanitation components within a six‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the technical advisor in conducting technical studies for targeted water and sanitation components.
• Participate in hand‑over committees, verify completion minutes, and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage daily inventory of raw materials, verify conformity with specifications and laboratory test results, and ensure safe storage.
• Monitor construction activities on site, checking compliance with quantity tables, plans, specifications, and standards.
• Coordinate schedules with contractors, ensure presence during critical construction phases, and review completed works before progressing to the next stage.
• Prepare immediate violation reports, update daily activity logs, and document progress with photos and video clips.
• Submit proposals for additional works, evaluate justifications, and provide technical feedback.
• Support field supervisory visits by providing accurate information on project interventions.

Required profile

• Experience in water and environmental sanitation projects.
• Ability to conduct site inspections and verify construction quality.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory and documentation management.
• Capacity to coordinate with contractors and project teams.
