FSL Project Officer

About the role

The Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Project Officer will lead the implementation of cash‑based assistance activities aimed at reducing food insecurity in Taiz governorate. Reporting to the Program Manager, the officer will work closely with local authorities, community members, and financial service providers to ensure that vulnerable families receive timely and transparent support.

Key responsibilities

• Register families using vulnerability criteria and oversee the selection process.
• Manage and monitor cash distribution cycles, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with financial service providers and support reconciliation of cash transactions.
• Represent Save the Children at community meetings and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
• Establish and maintain robust Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems to track project outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager and other staff to integrate results into overall program reporting.

Required profile

• Experience in humanitarian cash‑assistance programmes or similar livelihood projects.
• Ability to work with local authorities, community leaders, and beneficiaries.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability assessment and beneficiary selection criteria.
• Excellent communication skills for community mobilization and reporting.
