Water & Environmental Sanitation Technician (4 positions) – Marib & Al-Jawf

About the role

Human Access – Marib and Al‑Jawf Governorate Branch is seeking four Water and Environmental Sanitation Technicians to support the INSAN project in high‑risk, underserved districts of Marib Al‑Wadi and Khab Walsh’af. The role involves on‑site supervision of water and sanitation works, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the technical advisor in preparing and reviewing technical studies for water and sanitation components.
• Participate in hand‑over committees, verify completion minutes and ensure proper documentation.
• Conduct daily inventory of raw‑material supplies, check conformity with specifications and laboratory test results, and supervise safe storage.
• Monitor construction activities on‑site, verify alignment with quantity tables, plans, specifications and standards.
• Coordinate schedules with contractors, ensure presence during critical phases such as reinforced‑concrete works, and review each construction stage (excavation, foundations, blacksmithing, concrete pouring, roof work).
• Report violations immediately, detailing quantities, locations, costs and associated risks.
• Update daily activity logs, capture photographic evidence of progress, and submit additional work proposals with justification.
• Support field supervisory visits by providing accurate information on project interventions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in water and environmental sanitation projects, preferably in challenging or insecure environments.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and collaborate with technical advisors and contractors.
• Strong attention to detail for inventory control, documentation and compliance verification.
