Volunteer Grant Researcher & Prospecting Officer

About the role

Green Empowerment for Development is seeking a proactive Volunteer Grant Researcher to identify and analyse funding opportunities that align with its mission of environmental sustainability and inclusive development in Yemen.

Key responsibilities

• Identify potential grant opportunities from international foundations, NGOs, government agencies and corporate donors.
• Review grant guidelines to ensure alignment with GEFD projects and goals.
• Maintain a grant calendar/database with deadlines, requirements and donor contacts.
• Monitor funding trends in humanitarian and environmental sectors, especially for Yemen and the MENA region.
• Provide weekly updates to the Director on high‑priority opportunities.

Required profile

• Excellent research and analytical abilities.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Passion for environmental sustainability and humanitarian work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Sheets or Excel for data organization.
