Water and Environmental Sanitation Technician (2 positions)

About the role

The Human Access Taiz Governorate Branch is seeking two Water and Environmental Sanitation Technicians to support a six‑month project aimed at improving basic services for vulnerable communities in Al‑Mudhaffar, Al‑Qahira and Broom Mayfa districts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the technical advisor in conducting technical studies for water and sanitation components.
• Participate in hand‑over committees, verify minutes and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage daily inventory of raw materials, verify conformity with specifications and laboratory test results, and ensure safe storage.
• Monitor on‑site work daily, confirming compliance with quantity tables, plans, specifications and standards.
• Coordinate schedules with contractors, oversee each construction phase (excavation, foundation, concrete, roofing) and ensure presence during reinforced‑concrete works.
• Report violations immediately, detailing quantities, locations, costs and associated risks.
• Update daily activity logs, capture photographic evidence and submit additional work proposals with justifications.
• Support field supervisory visits by providing accurate project information.

Required profile

• Experience in water and environmental sanitation projects.
• Familiarity with construction monitoring and material verification.
• Ability to work on‑site in Taiz and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Technical study preparation for water and sanitation.
• Inventory management of construction materials.
• On‑site construction monitoring (excavation, foundation, concrete, roofing).
• Report writing and documentation with photos.
