Economic Recovery Assistant

About the role

The Economic Recovery Assistant will support the implementation of KfW and EU‑funded agriculture and livelihood programmes in Taiz, Al Turbah and surrounding communities. Working closely with the Economic Recovery Officer, you will help vulnerable households, especially rural women, access climate‑smart agriculture, market linkages and financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with beneficiary identification, registration, verification and attendance tracking.
• Support community sensitisation, mobilisation and documentation of field activities.
• Collect and verify field data, map market actors and track agricultural input suppliers, buyers and training providers.
• Facilitate market and agriculture assessments, literacy, business and vocational training, farmer group activities and post‑harvest value‑addition initiatives.
• Provide day‑to‑day follow‑up with implementing partners, trainers and community‑based organisations.
• Prepare reports and ensure compliance with DRC SOPs, donor requirements and sector guidelines.

Required profile

• Experience working on humanitarian or development projects in agriculture, livelihoods or economic recovery.
• Ability to work in remote, conflict‑affected settings and travel to field sites.
• Strong documentation and data‑collection skills, with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills for community engagement and partner coordination.
