Importer and Business Owner (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Yemen‑based small or medium business owner to act as our trusted sourcing partner for products manufactured in Guangzhou, China. This is a contract, ongoing partnership that will be managed remotely, linking Yemeni import needs with Chinese supplier capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure specific products or materials from Guangzhou on behalf of the client.
• Leverage existing supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and consistent quality.
• Coordinate order processing, shipping logistics, and required documentation.
• Serve as the local liaison bridging Yemen and China supply chains.

Required profile

• Owner or operator of an active SME in Yemen with a proven track record of importing from China.
• Based in or able to work from Europe or China for easy coordination with stakeholders.
• Experienced in sourcing from Guangzhou and fluent in Arabic and English; Mandarin is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of import/export procedures, customs regulations, and freight forwarding.
• Reliable, responsive, and comfortable working remotely with international clients.
