Deputy Country Director for Programs

About the role

Première Urgence Internationale is seeking a Deputy Country Director for Programs to lead the implementation of humanitarian programmes across its bases in Yemen. Based in Sana'a, the role ensures strategic, technical, and operational excellence while representing the organisation at national level.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee programme implementation, ensuring compliance with PUI charter, technical guidelines and contractual procedures.
• Monitor programme performance at mission level and drive quality improvements across bases.
• Lead needs and gaps analysis, propose new operations, and develop fundraising strategies through donor mapping.
• Directly manage the Technical Coordination Team and support Field Coordinators.
• Represent PUI with partners, donors and authorities, participating in technical forums and working groups.
• Facilitate coordination between technical, logistics, HR and administrative departments.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in humanitarian programme management and coordination.
• Proven leadership skills with ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical abilities for needs assessment and strategic planning.
• Excellent communication and representation skills for stakeholder engagement.
