Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

About the role

The Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will lead the implementation of the M&E work plan, ensure high‑quality data collection and analysis, and support field teams to improve program outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Mainstream global M&E guidelines at field level and adapt tools and templates throughout the project cycle.
• Design, pilot and translate data collection instruments, supervise enumerators and ensure data integrity.
• Develop and maintain the IPTT, databases and tracking tools for output, outcome and impact indicators.
• Conduct regular data quality audits, field visits and supportive supervision to address data issues.
• Apply appropriate sampling methods and both qualitative and quantitative techniques for robust evidence.
• Configure and support mobile data collection platforms such as Kobo Toolbox, ODK Collect and ONA Collect.
• Perform data cleaning, descriptive analysis using Excel Pivot tables and statistical software, and synthesize findings for reports.
• Support evaluation design, supervise field activities and assist with external evaluator procurement.
