Project Coordinator Support – Mobile Emergency Team

About the role

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is seeking a Project Coordinator Support to assist the Project Coordinator of its Mobile Emergency Team (MET) in Yemen. Based in Sana’a, the role involves extensive field work, supporting security management, coordination with authorities, and ensuring smooth project operations across multiple governorates.

Key responsibilities

• Represent MSF externally, alone or with the Project Coordinator, and negotiate on behalf of the project.
• Monitor, analyse and report on security and risk issues, maintaining a security database and providing bi‑weekly context analyses.
• Assist in exploratory missions, assessments and the development of security plans.
• Support internal and external communication sessions, prepare meeting minutes and maintain a logbook.
• Maintain relationships with local actors (NGOs, UN agencies, authorities, media) and keep field contacts up to date.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the local and national context in Yemen, including key actors and authorities.
• Ability to work in challenging field environments and travel up to 90% of the time.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Good interpersonal skills for representing MSF and liaising with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
