MEAL Internship – Data Collection & Analysis (2 positions)

About the role

The MEAL Internship offers a hands‑on learning experience supporting Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning activities for DRC Yemen. Interns will be trained on MEAL practices and gradually apply their knowledge to field visits, data collection and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with field visits during program activities, observe distributions and record findings for ODM and field visit reports.
• Conduct data collection remotely (phone) and in‑person, ensuring high‑quality submissions and contributing to assessment drafts.
• Support data analysis using tools such as Excel.
• Help manage the accountability system by receiving beneficiary complaints and feedback during visits.
• Follow data protection protocols for storage, sharing and security of information.
• Review and translate MEAL surveys/assessments and support other tasks like verification, baseline/endline surveys, PDMs and PSMs as assigned.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about humanitarian work and willing to travel to field sites in Yemen.
• Ability to follow supervision and technical guidance from the MEAL Team Leader.
• Attention to detail for accurate data collection, documentation and protection.
• Good communication skills for interacting with beneficiaries and team members.

Required skills

• Excel for data analysis.
