Human Resources Manager – Yemen

About the role

Relief International is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR services for its Yemen programme based in Aden. You will ensure compliance with organisational policies, local labour law and HR best practice while supporting a high‑performing, engaged workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day HR operations, guaranteeing alignment with Relief International policies and Yemeni labour legislation.
• Support workforce planning and manage transparent, timely recruitment across the country programme.
• Provide expert advice to managers and staff on HR policies, employee relations and people‑management matters.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle: contracts, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, separations and personnel records.
• Ensure consistent implementation of onboarding processes and travel to programme locations as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
• Significant experience in HR management, recruitment, employee relations and HR administration.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation and best practices, preferably in humanitarian or non‑profit settings.
• Proven ability to support recruitment, performance management, contract administration and staff engagement.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
