Education Officer – National (Hudaydah/Taiz)

About the role

Save the Children International is looking for a dedicated Education Officer to support the SEAL education project in Yemen. The role will be based in Hudaydah (Hayse) and Taiz, working directly with schools, district education offices, and community stakeholders to ensure high‑quality delivery of learning materials, teacher support, and school‑level activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of SEAL project activities across assigned districts and schools according to approved workplans and timelines.
• Prepare weekly and monthly workplans in coordination with the SEAL Technical Manager.
• Organise and facilitate trainings, workshops, assessments and community mobilisation events.
• Assist in the distribution of teaching and learning materials and ensure proper documentation.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, identify challenges and ensure compliance with Save the Children and World Bank quality standards.
• Coordinate closely with MEAL, ESS, Supply Chain, Finance, HR/Admin, Security and Ministry of Education (MoE) partners.
• Provide timely reporting and support the preparation of monitoring and evaluation data.

Required profile

• Degree in Education, International Development or a related field.
• Proven experience in implementing education programmes in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Familiarity with MoE coordination mechanisms and education sector standards.
• Strong commitment to child safeguarding and ability to undergo rigorous background checks.
• Willingness to travel frequently to field sites and work in challenging environments.
