Education Assistant – Shabwah (National)

About the role

The Education Assistant will support the implementation of Save the Children’s SEAL education activities across selected districts and schools in Shabwah. Working under the Education Project Coordinator, the role ensures that project activities are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and align with Ministry of Education coordination mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the rollout of SEAL project components, including distribution of learning materials and facilitation of trainings, workshops, and community mobilization events.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor school progress, document challenges, and report findings to the MEAL and ESS teams.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly activity reports with statistical and narrative data.
• Provide technical guidance to teachers, school leaders, and volunteers on curriculum delivery and remedial support.
• Coordinate logistical arrangements with Supply Chain and Admin teams and maintain proper filing of project documentation.

Required profile

• Experience working on education projects in humanitarian or development settings.
• Familiarity with Ministry of Education processes and school improvement planning.
• Ability to travel frequently to remote school sites and conduct field monitoring.
• Commitment to child safeguarding and willingness to undergo rigorous background checks.
