Economic Recovery Intern

About the role

The Economic Recovery Intern will provide supervised administrative, documentation, data‑management and coordination support for EU, ECHO and KfW I & II economic recovery projects in Aden Governorate. The role includes filing beneficiary records, supporting training and distribution documentation, and assisting field activities in Lahj Governorate.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of EU, ECHO and KfW I & II projects in Lahj Governorate.
• Assist community mobilisation, monitor business‑skills and vocational training, and oversee grant distributions.
• Support livelihood activities such as life‑skills, business skills, agriculture/post‑harvest, SRFF, women groups, WUCs, biogas and business follow‑up.
• Prepare and verify field documentation; enter, clean, upload and archive data in KoboToolbox and Excel.
• Assist field monitoring, coaching visits and beneficiary communication; promptly flag protection, access, quality or implementation issues.
• Support cash‑project registration and distributions.
• Maintain accurate filing of beneficiary, training and distribution records.
• Coordinate with local authorities, community committees, women representatives, implementing partners and DRC departments.
• Apply DRC Code of Conduct, PSEAH, safeguarding, data‑protection, AAP, do‑no‑harm and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or early‑career candidate (graduated within the last three years).
• No formal humanitarian experience required; volunteering, community work, data collection or field support is a plus.
• Highly motivated, disciplined, eager to learn and passionate about humanitarian work and women’s economic empowerment.
• Basic understanding of the local context and culturally appropriate communication.
