Economic Recovery Intern – Humanitarian Field Support

About the role

The Economic Recovery Intern will provide supervised field and administrative support for KFW and MPCA/CVA activities in humanitarian settings. Working closely with senior staff, you will assist with community engagement, beneficiary registration, data management and livelihood activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of KFW, MPCA and other economic recovery activities according to approved workplans and SOPs.
• Assist in beneficiary identification, registration, verification, vulnerability and market assessments.
• Provide logistical support for MPCA distributions, including site preparation, attendance checks and crowd‑management.
• Contribute to KFW livelihood programmes such as literacy, business skills, vocational training and agricultural support.
• Prepare and verify field documentation; enter, clean and upload data using KoboToolbox and Excel.
• Support field monitoring, post‑distribution monitoring, coaching visits and escalation of any implementation issues.
• Coordinate with local authorities, community representatives, partners and DRC teams.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or early‑career candidate (graduated within the last three years).
• Highly motivated, disciplined and willing to learn.
• No prior formal humanitarian experience required; volunteering or community work is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis.
• Experience with KoboToolbox or similar data collection platforms.
