Deputy Country Director for Programs (Yemen)

About the role

The Deputy Country Director for Programs (DCD‑P) will lead the implementation of PUI’s humanitarian programmes across all bases in Yemen, ensuring strategic alignment, quality delivery and effective coordination with partners, donors and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee programme implementation, monitor progress against PUI charter and contractual requirements, and drive quality improvements.
• Lead needs and gaps analyses, propose new operations, and develop fundraising strategies through donor mapping.
• Directly manage the Technical Coordination Team and support Field Coordinators and Deputy Field Coordinators.
• Represent PUI at national level with partners, donors and authorities, and participate in technical forums.
• Ensure effective interaction between technical coordination, logistics, HR and administration to guarantee compliant programme delivery.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in humanitarian programme management, preferably at senior level.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and coordinate across multiple locations.
• Strong analytical skills for needs assessments and strategic planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
