About the role
The Country Manager will lead the Yemen country program, overseeing people, partners, resources and deliverables to advance the mission of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and the USCCB. This senior position serves as the primary ambassador to government, donors and local stakeholders, ensuring high‑impact programming for the poor and marginalized.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the Yemen office, including staff, budgets, partners and program quality.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with national and international organizations.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities to sustain and expand CRS activities.
- Ensure all projects meet donor expectations, adhere to CRS quality standards and achieve maximum impact.
- Oversee MEAL standards, promote accountability, learning and knowledge management.
- Lead workforce planning, staff development, coaching and well‑being initiatives.
- Guide annual planning, medium‑ to long‑term strategy and risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and operational policies.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing large, multi‑sector humanitarian programs.
- Strong track record in donor relations, fundraising and partnership building.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and staff development skills.
- Ability to navigate complex political and security environments.
- Commitment to CRS values, safeguarding and ethical standards.
