Non-Ferrous Sorter & Grader

About the role

We are seeking an accurate, safety‑conscious Non‑Ferrous Sorter & Grader to work at our yard in Dammam’s 2nd Industrial City. You will identify, separate and grade copper, brass, aluminium and stainless steel to export standards, ensuring each load is priced correctly and transparently for sellers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and separate copper (bare bright, #1, #2), yellow and red brass, aluminium (extrusion, cast, sheet, UBC) and stainless 304/316 into their correct grades.
• Perform quality control on incoming loads, checking for contamination, mixed alloys and downgrading material that does not meet grade criteria.
• Grade material in front of sellers, explaining the grading decision in plain language.
• Maintain security of high‑value non‑ferrous stock in assigned bays and reconcile counts at shift end.
• Collaborate with the weighbridge team to ensure each graded line is weighed and recorded separately.
• Observe yard safety protocols, wear PPE, keep walkways clear and follow handling procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in grading or sorting within scrap, smelting or metal‑trading environments is preferred; related industrial background acceptable.
• Ability to differentiate non‑ferrous metals by colour, weight, magnet test and file or spark test.
• Consistent judgement under time pressure, as grading directly impacts pricing.
• Physical capability to lift and move material and work full outdoor shifts.
• Basic Arabic or English; additional languages (Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Tagalog, Malayalam) are welcome.
• Valid, transferable Saudi Iqama.
