Utility Operator – Mobile Service Division

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Utility Operator to join our Mobile Service Division in Mobile, AL. The role involves cleaning, stripping, and painting AC/DC motor parts throughout the repair process, using a range of specialized equipment while adhering to strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean internal and external motor components such as frames, cores, armatures, gears, and housings.
• Operate cleaning equipment including steam cleaners, parts washers, and sand‑blasters.
• Run specialized repair equipment like dip tanks, VPI systems, and controlled‑temperature burnout/bake‑out ovens.
• Handle material‑moving equipment (fork trucks, cranes) to transport and store motors and parts.
• Paint repaired and re‑assembled motors before shipment.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow all PPE and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to perform stripping operations on AC and DC motor parts.
• Proficiency with material handling equipment (fork trucks, cranes).
• Capability to accurately complete required paperwork and follow established procedures.
• Understanding of job‑related training, operational, and safety protocols.

Required skills

• Operation of steam cleaners, parts washers and sand‑blasters.
• Use of dip tanks, VPI systems and burnout/bake‑out ovens.
• Handling of hand tools safely and effectively.
• Use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety guidelines.
