Utility Operator – Birmingham Service Division

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Utility Operator to join our Birmingham Service Division. The role involves cleaning, stripping and painting AC/DC motor parts throughout the repair process while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean internal and external motor components such as frames, cores, armatures, gears and housings.
• Operate cleaning equipment including steam cleaners, parts washers and sand‑blasters.
• Run specialized repair equipment like dip tanks, VPI systems and controlled‑temperature burnout ovens.
• Handle material moving equipment (fork trucks, cranes) to transport motors and parts.
• Paint repaired and assembled motors before shipment.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE and maintain housekeeping in the work area.

Required profile

• Ability to perform stripping operations on AC and DC motor parts.
• Proficiency with material handling equipment such as fork trucks and cranes.
• Capability to follow documented procedures accurately.
• Understanding of safety and operational training requirements.
