Typhoon Avionics Operator

About the role

The Typhoon Avionics Operator will join the Base Maintenance Facility and report to the Avionics Junior Supervisor. This position requires an experienced avionic technician to perform detailed maintenance, inspection and fault‑resolution activities on Typhoon aircraft avionics systems.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out detailed maintenance and inspection tasks on Typhoon avionics in line with approved work packages and technical data.
• Remove, inspect, repair, modify, replace and test avionics components as required.
• Assist in fault evaluation, raise ad‑hoc work cards for found faults and support configuration management.
• Maintain personal task authorisation, log‑book entries and ensure compliance with QAF and MOE procedures.
• Document all maintenance actions and update airworthiness records on both IT and paper systems.
• Report progress against delivery targets and escalate issues that may affect continuing airworthiness.

Required profile

• Proven experience maintaining Typhoon aircraft avionics systems.
• Good understanding of approved data sets, regulatory framework and quality assurance requirements.
• Ability to follow diagnostic procedures and work effectively within a team.
• Flexible, proactive attitude with the capacity to take direction and prioritize tasks.
