Supply Chain Assistant – Warehouse

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a solutions‑driven Supply Chain Assistant to manage warehouse activities for its Al‑Dhale and Lahj locations in Yemen. You will ensure effective stock management, accurate documentation, and timely delivery of both pharmaceutical and non‑pharmaceutical items in line with IRC policies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials from suppliers and other sources.
• Update stock cards, bin cards, and the inventory system on a regular basis.
• Prepare and process dispatch documents, including delivery reports, waybills, and store releases.
• Monitor inventory levels, report potential shortages, and coordinate replenishment based on approved purchase requisitions.
• Handle Contribution In Kind (CIK) and closed‑grant inventory, ensuring compliance with cold‑chain and pharmaceutical quality standards.
• Maintain the warehouse activity book and other standard documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in warehouse or supply‑chain operations, preferably in a humanitarian or non‑governmental organization.
• Familiarity with inventory control procedures, cycle counts, and discrepancy reporting.
• Ability to work closely with supply‑chain managers and senior officers to support program needs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to adhering to IRC policies.
