Storekeeper - Warehouse Stock Management

About the role

MSF Yemen is looking for a Storekeeper in Al-Qaidah, Ibb, on a fixed-term contract of 1 year, renewable depending on budget availability and performance. The role covers receipt, storage and issuance of medical supplies, food items, spare parts, tools and other logistics materials, in line with the line manager's instructions and MSF standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise material and goods orders and dispatch, and receive orders and deliveries while reporting discrepancies against cargo manifests.
• Store materials so they remain available, organised, protected, identified and accessible; monitor warehouse temperature and cold-chain items.
• Update stock cards immediately after receiving goods and follow up stock levels against alarm thresholds, stock-outs and expiry dates.
• Control sensitive goods (lot numbers, expiry dates, packaging, special storage conditions).
• Prepare orders on time, weigh and label freight with shipping details, and perform physical stock counts with the line manager.
• Keep the warehouse clean, label shelves and areas, and restrict access to authorised personnel.
• Follow stock transactions in the Unifield database and archive documents in the UF system.
• Check incoming cargoes against purchase orders, delivery orders, waybills and donation certificates, and report issues to the line manager.
• Attend weekly supply meetings and identify extra needs such as additional daily workers.

Required profile

• Desirable secondary education and warehouse management studies.
• Previous storekeeper experience desirable (minimum 2 years).
• Local language essential; mission language desirable.
• Ability to do basic repairs.

Required skills

• Basic mathematics and use of measuring equipment.
• Desirable computer literacy (Word, Excel).
