Solution Architect – Messaging & Telecom Integration Lead

About the role

Mount Cloud is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of an on‑premises enterprise messaging platform for a major telecommunications project in Sana’a. This temporary, full‑time role will require translating business needs into secure, scalable, and resilient technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define end‑to‑end solution architecture, integration patterns, security controls, and HA/DR strategy.
• Lead integration with mobile operators and enterprise systems using SMPP, HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, SMTP, and relational databases.
• Design message routing, queueing, validation, duplicate detection, delivery‑report handling, retries, failover, and performance controls.
• Convert business workflows into technical specifications and implementation plans.
• Conduct technical workshops, design and code reviews, integration testing, and acceptance preparation.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, security, database, and client teams to resolve technical issues.
• Produce high‑level and low‑level design documents, integration specifications, escalation procedures, and hand‑over material.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in solution architecture, backend integration, telecommunications, CPaaS or high‑volume transaction environments.
• Proven production experience with SMPP or comparable telecom messaging protocols.
• Strong English communication and technical documentation skills.
• Currently based in Sana’a or willing to relocate before the start date.
