Senior Consortium Finance Officer

About the role

The Senior Consortium Finance Officer provides coordinated financial leadership and oversight for the Yemen WASH Consortium and other Oxfam‑led consortia. Reporting to the Country Finance Manager, the role ensures budgets, forecasts, partner disbursements, financial analysis, donor reporting and audit readiness are managed to high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for the consortium.
• Consolidate partner disbursements, monitor variances and prepare corrective‑action plans.
• Ensure donor compliance and produce timely donor reports.
• Maintain audit readiness and support internal/external audits.
• Act as the primary finance contact for consortium partners, promoting consistent financial standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Significant finance experience in an INGO or comparable humanitarian organisation, managing complex institutional grants and multi‑partner finances.
• Strong knowledge of donor financial rules (ECHO, EU, FCDO, BHA, BMZ, etc.).
• Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with PeopleSoft or similar accounting systems.
• Native‑level Arabic and professional English communication skills.
• Proven analytical judgement, attention to detail and ability to build credible relationships.
