Finance Officer (Partnerships)

About the role

The Finance Officer (Partnerships) supports the Finance department and the Partnership Unit in managing IRC’s sub‑awards and partnership agreements across Yemen. Working closely with partner finance teams, the officer ensures financial reports, budgets and cash requests are accurate, timely and compliant with donor regulations and IRC policies.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile partner financial reports against advances, budgets and actual expenditures and prepare tracking reconciliations.
• Maintain complete, audit‑ready financial files for all sub‑awards and support internal and external audits, including providing documentation and responding to auditor queries.
• Flag material financial risks or non‑performance to the Senior Finance Officer and assist in performance improvement discussions.
• Serve as the day‑to‑day finance focal point for assigned partners, providing guidance on budgets, cash requests and financial reporting.
• Maintain the partnership project tracker, monitoring partner budgets, disbursements and reporting deliverables.
• Deliver finance and accounting training and mentoring to partners to strengthen their financial management systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce, economics or a related field.
• Experience in financial management of sub‑awards, partnership agreements or donor‑funded projects.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with attention to audit readiness.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners and internal teams.
