Asset and Procurement Officer – Logistics Support (Yemen)

About the role

The Asset and Procurement Officer will provide comprehensive logistics support to all field offices of the Save the Children Yemen programme. The role includes managing the full lifecycle of assets – from verification, tagging and storage to reporting and disposal – and establishing a clean master asset register for future system integration. In addition, the officer will support selected procurement activities, ensuring compliance with Save the Children policies, donor regulations and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct physical verification of all assets, including tagging, labeling and documentation.
• Record verification findings, identify discrepancies and consolidate data into accurate asset records.
• Generate asset list reports with summary statistics and share them with relevant departments.
• Define verification scope for fixed, capital and non‑capital assets and set condition criteria.
• Identify missing or lost assets, prepare documentation, obtain approvals and process write‑offs.
• Support procurement activities and ensure all actions comply with organisational policies and donor requirements.
• Maintain the master asset register and prepare it for future system integration.

Required profile

• Experience in asset management and procurement within a humanitarian or development context.
• Familiarity with Save the Children policies, donor regulations and best practice standards.
• Ability to work across multiple field offices and coordinate with supply chain teams.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate verification, documentation and reporting.
