Case Management Officer – Child Protection

About the role

The Case Management Officer will support Save the Children’s mission to protect children in Yemen by overseeing the full lifecycle of child protection cases. Working under the Child Protection Programme Coordinator, the officer ensures that case management processes are aligned with core protection principles and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise and support case workers and partner agencies across sectors involved in case management.
• Ensure accurate documentation, timely follow‑up and compliance with confidentiality, do‑no‑harm and child participation standards.
• Oversee technical implementation of child protection projects in Aden, Lahj and other locations, ensuring quality delivery and alignment with budgets and timelines.
• Develop and monitor implementation plans (DIP), field visit schedules, supervision checklists and reporting mechanisms.
• Conduct regular monitoring visits, provide technical support, flag concerns and propose corrective actions.
• Participate in baseline, endline and MEAL activities to assess project performance and case management timelines.

Required profile

• Experience in child protection case management within humanitarian or non‑profit settings.
• Strong knowledge of child protection principles, confidentiality, and donor compliance.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑sector teams, supervise staff and manage documentation.
• Willingness to undergo rigorous background checks to ensure child safety.
