Study Focal Point

About the role

MSF is seeking a Study Focal Point to lead and coordinate a neonatal sepsis research project at Al‑Salam Hospital in Amran Governorate. The role ensures the study is conducted according to MSF values, protocols, and ethical standards, delivering high‑quality data and supporting the overall research objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and supervise daily study activities, including consent management, data entry, and sample logistics.
• Enter and maintain study data in REDCap, track laboratory sample collection and results.
• Ensure availability and proper use of study materials, forms, and consumables.
• Coordinate weekly schedules, training, and performance monitoring for the study team.
• Supervise inventory of data collection tools, devices and consumables.
• Report technical or operational issues to the project team and provide regular updates to the Medical Focal Point/Study PI.

Required profile

• Yemeni national with experience in clinical or operational research coordination.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with ethical research standards and data protection.

Required skills

• Proficiency with REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) for data entry and management.
