Technical Proposal Engineer (Solar Energy)

About the role

Ruya Energy Company is looking for a Technical Proposal Engineer to support the preparation of technical proposals and tenders for solar energy projects. The role involves creating designs, BOQs, specifications and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to deliver competitive offers.

Key responsibilities

• Study tender documents, RFQs, specifications and drawings to understand scope and technical requirements.
• Prepare technical offers, engineering proposals, BOQs, quantity schedules and equipment lists in line with client and tender criteria.
• Develop Technical Compliance Matrix, preliminary designs and calculations, and select suitable components in coordination with suppliers.
• Review supplier offers from a technical perspective and work with Procurement to obtain pricing.
• Draft execution methodologies, scope of work, technical assumptions and exclusions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Projects, Procurement and Finance to align technical and commercial proposals.
• Respond to client technical inquiries, ensure completeness of submissions and hand over technical documentation to the Projects team after award.

Required profile

• University degree in Power Engineering, Solar Energy or a related field.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in solar energy or electrical power projects.
• Familiarity with solar pump systems and project supervision.
• Good understanding of goods and items related to solar energy and electrical power.
