National Engineer Analyst – Electricity

About the role

The FAO Representation in Aden is seeking a National Engineer Analyst – Electricity to support the planning, design and technical review of electrical, solar, HVAC, low‑current and safety systems for FAO projects, offices and guesthouses. The role works under the FAO Representative and directly with the Construction Engineer Specialist.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and review electrical, solar power, HVAC and electromechanical designs, including load calculations and wiring layouts.
• Prepare and validate low‑current system designs such as CCTV, fire alarm/suppression, public address and access‑control.
• Develop Bills of Quantities, cost estimates and technical specifications for all relevant components.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications and safety standards.
• Review delivered materials for quality and conformity with technical specifications.
• Assist in reviewing contractor payment certificates and provide technical certification of executed quantities.
• Support technical assessments of existing FAO offices and guesthouses and recommend upgrades.
• Collaborate with construction engineers, procurement teams and contractors to provide technical guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in electrical and electromechanical engineering.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Yemeni national.
