Medical Coordinator – Yemen Mission

About the role

The Medical Coordinator will lead the design, implementation, adaptation and reporting of the quality medical programme for Médecins du Monde’s Yemen mission. Reporting to the General Coordinator, the role ensures that all medical activities meet high standards and that health data are systematically analysed to inform programme decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, adapt and report on the medical programme activities in Yemen.
• Ensure relevance and quality of all medical services, with a focus on health data analysis.
• Act as technical supervisor for the medical team, including health activity managers, the Marib medical supervisor and the pharmacy advisor.
• Contribute to the development of the country‑wide medical strategy under the guidance of the General Coordinator.
• Collaborate with the deputy General Coordinator, HQ desk officer, and medical, mental health and protection advisors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing medical programmes in humanitarian settings.
• Strong ability to analyse health data and translate findings into programme improvements.
• Experience supervising multidisciplinary medical teams.
• Capacity to participate in strategic planning for the medical sector.
