Emergency Programme Coordinator

About the role

The Emergency Programme Coordinator will strengthen ACF's emergency preparedness and response capacity in Yemen, ensuring timely and coordinated humanitarian assistance. Reporting to the Deputy Country Director for Programmes, the role leads the design, activation and monitoring of emergency operations across all ACF intervention areas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain up‑to‑date emergency preparedness, contingency plans and standard operating procedures.
• Lead the activation and coordination of emergency responses, ensuring quality assistance to affected populations.
• Monitor humanitarian, political and operational contexts to identify emerging risks and response opportunities.
• Engage with donors, partners and coordination mechanisms to enhance ACF’s emergency positioning and resource mobilisation.
• Represent ACF in humanitarian clusters, working groups and inter‑agency fora.
• Promote ACF’s emergency response experience to external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Relations, humanitarian work or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of humanitarian experience, including at least 3 years managing emergency response programmes.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); experience in Yemen is an asset.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract (6 months) under French legislation.
• Monthly gross salary €2,597 – €2,968 (including 13th month) plus a 6 % annual increase.
• Monthly per diem and living allowance of USD 730 (net) and country allowance €450.
