Education Officer – National Programme

About the role

The Education Officer will support the implementation of the SEAL education programme across assigned districts and schools in Yemen. Reporting to the SEAL Technical Manager, the role ensures timely, quality delivery of learning‑material distribution, teacher support and school‑level activities while adhering to safeguarding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of SEAL project activities according to approved workplans and timelines.
• Prepare weekly and monthly workplans in coordination with the Technical Manager.
• Organise and facilitate trainings, workshops, assessments and community mobilisation events.
• Assist in the distribution of teaching and learning materials and maintain proper documentation.
• Conduct regular field visits to schools and project sites to monitor progress, identify challenges and report findings.
• Ensure activities comply with Save the Children and World Bank quality standards and safeguarding requirements.
• Coordinate transportation and logistical support for field activities.

Required profile

• Experience in education programme implementation at the field level.
• Familiarity with Ministry of Education coordination mechanisms.
• Ability to conduct field monitoring and produce clear documentation.
• Understanding of child safeguarding and protection standards.
