Education Assistant (Al-Dhale’a – National Only)

About the role

The Education Assistant will support the implementation of Save the Children’s SEAL education activities across assigned districts and schools in Al‑Dhale’a, Yemen. Working closely with the Education Project Coordinator and multiple partners, the role ensures that project activities are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and align with Ministry of Education coordination mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of SEAL project activities according to approved workplans and timelines.
• Facilitate trainings, workshops, meetings, assessments and community mobilisation events.
• Assist in the distribution and documentation of teaching and learning materials.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, identify challenges and report findings.
• Ensure activities comply with Save the Children and World Bank quality and safeguarding standards.
• Coordinate logistical arrangements with Supply Chain and Administration teams.
• Maintain accurate filing and archiving of activity documentation.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly statistical and narrative reports.
• Provide technical guidance to teachers, school leaders and volunteers.
• Participate in assessments, monitoring visits and project review meetings.

Required profile

• Experience supporting education projects in field settings.
• Ability to travel regularly to schools and project sites.
• Willingness to undergo rigorous background checks for child protection.
