Volunteer Grant Researcher

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Volunteer Grant Researcher to support Green Empowerment NGO’s mission of empowering children with disabilities and promoting environmental sustainability in Yemen. In this remote, part‑time role you will help expand our funding base by identifying and analysing grant opportunities from international foundations, UN agencies, and corporate giving programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify potential grant opportunities from local and international donors, including UN agencies, global environmental funds, and private foundations.
• Maintain an organized database or calendar of upcoming grant deadlines, eligibility criteria, and focus areas.
• Evaluate each opportunity to ensure alignment with GEFD’s core pillars: reforestation, inclusive integration, and renewable energy.
• Prepare concise summaries of leads, outlining submission requirements and donor priorities for the program team.

Required profile

• Strong research abilities and familiarity with digital grant databases.
• Excellent written English.
• Understanding of the non‑profit sector and international development.
• Highly organized, able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Passion for environmental sustainability and humanitarian causes in Yemen.
