Technical Assistant (Lawyer) – ICLA Programme

About the role

The ICLA Technical Assistant (Lawyer) will support the implementation of NRC’s ICLA programme in Amran, Yemen, ensuring safe, inclusive and accountable protection services. Working at field level, the assistant coordinates legal aid, case management and awareness activities for beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Implement ICLA activities in line with approved proposals, donor requirements and NRC policies.
• Conduct regular field visits, provide legal counseling and facilitate capacity‑building sessions.
• Develop and maintain case‑management databases and map local service providers.
• Lead group information sessions, outreach campaigns and advocacy initiatives.
• Collect and analyse data for quantitative and qualitative activity reports.
• Support the ICLA Coordinator with monitoring, evaluation and strategic reviews.

Required profile

• University degree in law.
• Minimum two years of experience with legal firms, NGOs or international organisations in protection or human‑rights contexts.
• Experience working in humanitarian or recovery settings in Yemen.
• Understanding of national and international legal frameworks relevant to ICLA beneficiaries.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to use case‑management systems and databases.
