Software QA Tester

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Software QA Tester to join our remote fintech startup. You will be responsible for testing our web and mobile applications, ensuring new features are free of bugs before they reach users. This role focuses on building solid quality foundations rather than providing customer support.

Key responsibilities

• Test new features and assigned builds thoroughly and systematically.
• Build and maintain test cases and test plans for ongoing features.
• Leverage AI tools to help scale test case generation while retaining judgment on what to test.
• Write clear, structured bug reports with steps to reproduce, severity, and expected vs. actual behavior.
• Submit daily reports on testing scope, findings, and status.
• Help establish proper QA processes as the team scales.
• Coordinate with developers on bug prioritization and escalate critical issues immediately.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on QA or software testing experience.
• Experience writing formal test cases and test plans.
• Strong written English for clear reporting.
• Critical thinking and the ability to reason about potential failures.
• Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) as an aid.
• Adaptable to fast‑changing startup processes.
