Site Supervisor

About the role

The Site Supervisor will oversee the implementation of construction and rehabilitation activities for the Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) projects in multiple locations across Yemen. Reporting to the Project Officer, the role ensures that all works are carried out according to approved drawings, technical specifications, and bills of quantities while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily on‑site supervision of construction, excavation, backfilling, concrete, stone masonry, and irrigation canal gate rehabilitation works.
• Verify that all executed works meet technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Monitor progress against the approved work plan, identify delays or constraints, and report them to the direct supervisor.
• Review completed works and measured quantities, ensuring compliance with bills of quantities and contractor payment certificates.
• Inspect materials on site, approve material samples, and ensure they meet technical specifications.
• Conduct field measurements to verify levels, dimensions, and alignments as per approved drawings.
• Ensure contractor compliance with occupational health and safety, environmental regulations, and social safeguards.
• Coordinate with contractors, beneficiaries, local authorities, and communities to resolve technical and site‑related issues.
