National Project Specialist – UNDP Yemen

About the role

The National Project Specialist will support UNDP’s portfolio of development projects in Yemen, including RESOLVE, LoGABD and SANABEL. The role focuses on strengthening livelihoods, local governance and climate‑resilient agriculture across multiple governorates.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of RESOLVE, LoGABD and SANABEL activities, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and UNDP standards.
• Facilitate partnerships with local authorities, NGOs, private sector and donor agencies.
• Monitor project performance, prepare progress reports and support evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Assist in budgeting, financial tracking and procurement processes for project components.
• Contribute to capacity‑building workshops for local officials and community groups.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in development studies, economics, agriculture, public administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing development projects in fragile or conflict‑affected contexts.
• Demonstrated knowledge of livelihoods, local governance and climate‑resilient agriculture.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
