National Project Engineer Analyst

About the role

The National Project Engineer Analyst will provide on‑site technical supervision, planning and quality control for FAO civil and structural projects in Yemen. Reporting to the FAO Representative and the Construction Engineer Specialist, the incumbent ensures that all construction activities meet design specifications, international standards and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily on‑site work, review attendance sheets and process inspection requests.
• Inspect work and materials, providing technical support as needed.
• Coordinate daily with the contractor’s project manager to ensure proper execution of works.
• Verify that construction follows approved drawings, specifications and project deliverables.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and project‑closure reports.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce site safety standards.
• Review contractor payment applications, validate quantities and sign off payments.
• Prepare and confirm Bills of Quantities, tools, material plans and delivery schedules.
• Assess material quality and quantity against specifications.
• Ensure timely progress to meet agreed deadlines.
