Mechanical Technician – Oil & Gas Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to carry out preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance on a range of mechanical assets at our Duqm and Ras Markaz terminals. The role supports reliable and safe operation of equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, valves, pipelines, tanks and HVAC systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on pumps, compressors, gearboxes, valves, piping, pressure vessels and other rotating/static equipment.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, re‑assemble and align mechanical components; conduct balancing, lubrication and vibration monitoring.
• Execute mechanical isolation, tagging and reinstatement following Permit‑to‑Work procedures.
• Update work orders, inspection reports and completion data in SAP/Maximo CMMS.
• Assist with equipment start‑up, shutdown and major overhauls, and support installation, commissioning and modification projects.
• Verify contractor work complies with API, ASME, ASTM and ISO standards.
• Participate in toolbox talks, maintain a clean workshop and follow all HSE and confined‑space safety procedures.

Required profile

• Hands‑on mechanical maintenance experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical or heavy‑industrial environments.
• Familiarity with preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and standards.
• Commitment to HSE policies and Permit‑to‑Work compliance.
