Logistics Coordinator (Sana’a & Aden)

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator will lead the logistics strategy for Médecins du Monde’s mission in Yemen, operating from both Sana’a and Aden. Reporting to the Deputy General Coordinator, the role ensures that all logistics functions support the delivery of medical care to vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Define, adapt and implement logistics tools and processes in line with Médecins du Monde procedures.
• Coordinate supply chain activities, vehicle fleet management, stock and equipment handling, building maintenance, IT infrastructure, communications systems and energy supply.
• Build and strengthen the capacity of the logistics team, providing training and technical advice.
• Support the Deputy/General Coordinator in monitoring security procedures and ensuring compliance with donor and organisational policies.
• Prepare logistics inputs for programme proposals, reports and budgeting, and maintain accurate logistics records (park state, purchases, donations).
• Communicate logistics priorities and issues with field teams and the E‑Desk Referent Logistician.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating logistics operations in complex, often insecure environments.
• Strong understanding of donor and humanitarian logistics standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with programme and security teams.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is an advantage.
