Human Resources Manager

About the role

Relief International is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead HR services for its Yemen programme based in Aden. The role supports a high‑performing, engaged workforce while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and Yemeni labour law.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day HR operations, guaranteeing alignment with Relief International policies and national legislation.
• Support workforce planning and manage transparent, timely recruitment across the country programme.
• Provide expert advice to managers and staff on HR policies, employee relations, and people‑management matters.
• Administer the full employee lifecycle, including contracts, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, separations, and record keeping.
• Ensure consistent implementation of onboarding processes and travel to programme locations as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
• Significant experience in HR management, recruitment, employee relations and HR administration.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation and best practices, preferably in humanitarian or non‑profit settings.
• Proven ability to support performance management, contract administration and staff engagement.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
