Home Visits Optical Assistant

About the role

As a Home Visits Optical Assistant you will travel to patients’ homes across the Ballymena region, delivering eye‑care services to people who cannot attend a store. You will provide basic clinical tasks, support patients with their vision needs and represent Specsavers in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Visit patients at their homes to perform optical examinations and dispense glasses or contact lenses.
• Assist patients with basic tasks related to eye care that they are unable to do themselves.
• Drive safely to appointments using a company pool car or a car allowance.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow clinical protocols.

Required profile

• At least 12 months of experience working in an optical setting.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Desirable: experience in a fast‑paced customer‑service environment, background in optics or audiology, familiarity with optical/audiology terminology.

Required skills

• Optical service delivery.
• Valid driving licence.

• Salary of £26,853 per annum.
