Grants Management Specialist

About the role

The Grants Management Specialist supports the Grants Manager in administering a portfolio of humanitarian grants across Yemen. The role focuses on grant management, proposal development, donor engagement and high‑quality reporting to ensure compliance with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise internal and external donor reporting, ensuring reports are accurate, well‑written and submitted on time.
• Facilitate review of reports by DRC headquarters and regional offices, incorporate feedback and address queries.
• Maintain the grants management system, including grant files, documentation, donor communications and tracking tools.
• Monitor deadlines for financial and narrative reports, proposals and amendment requests.
• Contribute to the drafting and compilation of grant proposals, reviewing them for consistency, compliance and quality.
• Provide expert advice on grants management and donor compliance, interpreting donor regulations and policies for programme staff.
• Review donor contracts and support decision‑making during contract execution and implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing humanitarian or development grants.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, reporting standards and contract management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with programme, finance, MEAL and communications teams.
• Excellent written communication skills for high‑quality report and proposal preparation.
