Finance Assistant – National Positions (Yemen)

About the role

Save the Children International Yemen is seeking Finance Assistants to support daily financial operations across multiple field locations. The role ensures compliance with the SCI-Yemen Finance Manual, World Bank requirements, and local regulations while safeguarding the organization’s financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Coordinator and Finance Officer in maintaining accurate financial records.
• Support payment review, transaction registration, and beneficiary payment documentation.
• Follow up with banks, financial service providers, and suppliers to resolve queries.
• Coordinate financial archive readiness and conduct sample checks for payments and documentation.
• Prepare documentation for internal audits, external audits, donor reviews, and spot checks.
• Liaise with finance staff, programme teams, supply chain, and field offices to ensure proper filing and retrieval of financial documents.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with financial data.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple locations.
• Understanding of financial controls and compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with financial record‑keeping and payment processing.
• Familiarity with banking procedures and documentation review.
• Knowledge of World Bank compliance requirements (preferred).
