Economic Recovery Intern – Humanitarian Field Support

About the role

Provide supervised field and administrative support for KFW and EU Economic Recovery activities, focusing on community engagement, beneficiary registration, assessments, training support, data entry and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of KFW and EU Economic Recovery workplans under close supervision.
• Assist with community entry, sensitisation, beneficiary registration, verification, needs and market assessments, and feedback collection.
• Support livelihood trainings such as life‑skills, business skills, vocational, agriculture/post‑harvest, women groups and biogas projects.
• Prepare and check field documentation; enter, clean, upload and archive data using KoboToolbox and Excel.
• Assist field monitoring, coaching visits and beneficiary communication, escalating protection or quality issues as needed.
• Coordinate with local authorities, community committees, women representatives, service providers and DRC teams.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or early‑career candidate from Al Turbah, Al Shamayatien or nearby areas, graduated within the last three years.
• No formal humanitarian experience required; volunteering, community work or data collection is an advantage.
• Highly motivated, disciplined, eager to learn and passionate about humanitarian work and women’s economic empowerment.
• Basic understanding of the local context and ability to communicate culturally appropriately.

Required skills

• Data entry and management using KoboToolbox.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data cleaning and reporting.
