Country Liaison & Partnership Manager

About the role

Welthungerhilfe is seeking a motivated professional to act as the Country Liaison & Partnership Manager in Yemen. The role will represent WHH within the humanitarian and development community, engage with Yemeni authorities, and support the establishment of WHH’s operations in the country.

Key responsibilities

• Lead coordination of WHH’s emergency response with authorities, clusters and other humanitarian actors.
• Represent WHH in coordination meetings, NGO platforms and high‑level forums, identifying gaps and opportunities for intervention.
• Develop and maintain a network of INGOs, local partners, OCHA and UN agencies to ensure complementarity and avoid duplication.
• Support donor engagement and position WHH for future funding opportunities.
• Oversee project cycle management, ensure compliance with WHH standards, and drive nexus programming.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in an NGO, including at least 1 year managing an office.
• Proven experience liaising with government authorities in Yemen and working in high‑risk conflict zones.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic.
• University degree in political science, public administration, conflict studies, humanitarian action or related field.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.
